Featured Deviation

If I had to pick one item I am most proud of it would most likely be my Zeus vector drawing. I finally started tackling vectors this year and it's an area that I really want to improve in. I followed a few (2 - 4) tutorials before I decided to tackle Zeus, it took me 3 days to finish him. The style is similar to my ninja and geisha, cartoon-ish bobble head.

tagged us all, so here goes my first Meme.

1. How tall are you? I am 6 foot tall, but when I graduated high school I was only 4'11

2. Coffee, tea, or milk? Tea with milk and sugar

3. For digital artists, what do you use to draw (i.e. tablet, mouse, touchpad)? I use my mouse and trackball mouse the most, I also have a Wacom Intous 3 that I try to tackle once in a while.

4. If you could go on vacation today, where would you go? Ireland, and I don't think I would ever leave.

5. What is the last movie you saw in the cinema? It was Horrible Bosses, it was fricken hilarious.

6. Who is the last person you gave a hug? My lovely wife

Wow, that is so hard; it would be between =staticwind because her pixel art is superb and stunning, `CookiemagiK for his killer emoticons and animation skills and ~Stanbos for their drawing talent; and I am sure I could list off many more.

Hiya and welcome to my profile, you can call me Kannon or Nikki (my real name); I have also gone by Coventina...it's my normal gamer tag. I have been a member of deviantART for 10 years, but to be honest I have only been active in the past few months. When I first joined I enjoyed doing 3D renders and playing in Bryce and Poser. My interest now are in vector and pixel art, emoticons, dolls, polymer clay, beading and more.

I have a lot more free time now since I have been on medical leave from work since May. It has allowed my creativity to flow back to me and I am having a wonderful time creating art and being an active participant in this wonderful community.

Facts about me

My age is 37, but I have been blessed or cursed and I look like I am in my 20's. I still get carded...

And thanks in part to my wife I still act like I am in my 20's...I think I will forever have peter pan syndrome.

I am female and my wife is a female.

I strongly believe in equal rights and I am proud of who I am.

I am not religious, but that doesn't mean I am not spiritual. Also I don't openly discuss it here, but if you are interested in what I believe don't be afraid to ask.

I come from a family of artists: mom (weaver, painter, writer), dad (jeweler, sculpture, drawer), sister (painter, drawer, art teacher), uncle, aunt & cousins (pottery), grandma (musician)

My dream is to open up a small bakery/cafe with my wife and mother, with side areas for a small bookstore, art classes and a gallery.

I have had 5 surgeries since 2008, carpel tunnel release in my right and left hands twice, cubital tunnel release in both elbows and I had a pituitary tumor removed. So much fun...so little time.

I live in the US, my wife and I share the goal to move to Ireland.

I have fibromyalgia, I am still learning to live with it.
